The Roanoke Valley Speech and Hearing Center (RVSHC) is a non-profit community service organization approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) organization. Established in 1959 by the Cosmopolitan Club of Roanoke, the Center is supported through a combination of service fees, grants, and generous donations.
Our mission is to improve quality of life by helping children and adults communicate effectively.
RVSHC is staffed by highly qualified, compassionate professionals who hold master’s and doctoral degrees in their respective specialties from accredited universities. Our audiologists and speech-language pathologists are licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
