M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist
Melissa began working at the Center in 2009. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Marshall University and a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Radford University. Melissa brings over 10 years experience to the Center in a variety of settings, including school systems, infant-toddler programs, nursing care facilities, and private clients. Melissa has experience with articulation, phonology, language impairment, stuttering, autism, voice, dysphagia, apraxia, and aphasia. Melissa is a certified LSVT LOUD® clinician; a voice treatment for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. Melissa holds a state license from the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
