Janet began working at the Center in 2010. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University and a Master of Arts degree from Ohio University. Janet brings 32 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist to the Center. She has primarily worked with children in a variety of settings such as a preschool for kids with special needs, an evaluation center, a hospital outpatient program, and a hospital pediatric rehab program. She particularly enjoys working with children whose expressive language is slow to develop due to general language delay of autism. Every day a child teaches her something new. She holds a state license from the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
